Five Questions To Ask Before Hiring a Medical Waste Management Company
1. Are there additional charges if you surpass the quantity of waste stated in your contract?
Since there is no guarantee of how much waste a facility can accumulate it is important to know of possible additional charges.
2. Do you offer a flexible pick up schedule?
Not all companies offer the same pick up needs. Would a service pick up be available, once a week, quarterly, semi-annually, etc? It’s important to pick a company that can cater to your frequency.
3. Are there any surcharges, taxes or hidden fees?
We ALL want to know that FINAL total. Do not feel shy to ask. It’s better to know upfront of all possible charges, than receiving a surprise bill.
4. Does the facility offer a Customer Service Call Center?
It is important to know you will have the ability to reach a human when an important matter should arise. Ideally, the Medical Waste Company you choose should support your needs through efficient customer service centers.
5. Am I locked into a contract? What if I need to break a contract?
Most Medical Waste Disposal companies will issue a written contract to be signed by both parties that will list all terms and conditions. Be sure to ask about penalties when the contract agreement gets violated.
